Jambhala is the god of wealth, merchants, traders and guardians of the treasures of the earth. In his right hand he holds a lemon. Jambhala is quite corpulent and looks wealthy. He is accompanied by a mongoose that vomits jewels.
Jambhala is also seen as an emanation of Avalokitesvara or Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
