How does “Buy Now – Receive Later – 80% donated work?
The products ordered under the "Buy now - Receive later" category apply to this promotion, which lasts until the 30th of June. 80% of the proceeds will be donated to relief operations for returnees and people directly and indirectly affected by Covid-19 in Nepal. You can find all of the products included in this campaign here. You will receive the purchased products later this year when we are able to fully work again, manufacture the product, and finally, ship it outside of Nepal. Estimated delivery is in October.
In addition, the purchase would help support and keep afloat our network of women’s groups, artisans, home-based workers, and our own team which are all part of the creation of Battiayo products.
How do I buy your products directly in Nepal?
You can write us a message and we will let you know the local prices and availabilities. A few of the Battiayo products are already available at the Tissah Store in the Ambassador Hotel in Lazimpat and more products will be soon available at the Timro Conceptstore in Bhakundole.
How long will it take to receive my order?
As Battiayo works with artisans all over Nepal and the country is under lockdown since the 23rd of March 2020, the estimated delivery of all orders via our website is October. Even with the lockdown being loosened on the 11th of June, we still cannot operate normally as raw materials are not allowed to be transported between the different provinces. In addition, our core sewing team, which operates normally from Kathmandu, has not been able to come back from the villages.
After the situation in Nepal calms down, we will be able to have normal standard shipment times. Until then, thank you for your support and understanding! Your purchase will help to keep on providing livelihoods to our team and our network of artisans in this difficult time.
Where do you ship to?
We have standard shipments in selected European countries, to the USA and Canada. In Nepal you can buy directly through one of the resellers we are working with or contact us.
If you would like to buy from us and you live in a country that hasn’t been mentioned, please get in contact with us and we will try to help.
Please note that due to effects of the long lockdown and Covid-19 situation in Nepal, we estimate that all online orders made now will be able to be shipped in October.

Can I order a gift and send it to the person?
Of course, you can! Just use that person’s shipping address, the address where the gift should be delivered to, and keep the billing address your own. Please let us know that the order is a gift.
How else can I help the Battiayo team?
If you want, you can tip our team in Nepal. You have the option to add a tip during the payment process. This tip is split up amongst the entire team monthly, and any amount goes a long way and is extremely appreciated!
Click on ‘show your support for the team at Battiayo’. You will have then the choice to give a tip of 5%, 10%, 15% or any another amount of your choice.
What is the Tip Us money used for?
We will distribute the tip money each month in between everybody involved in the design and production process.
